For those of you who are new here, I have this habit of sometimes rewriting my own versions of Christmas songs. I think it’s fun for me like word games and stuff are for other people because I try my best to make it follow the original rhythm. I like to keep my brain busy even when I have down time. I don’t do well with idleness!
Anyway, the last couple of years, I have rewritten a few songs based on inside jokes with friends about New Kids on the Block (yes, we love them – stop judging). This year, I thought I would rewrite a song for my new friends that I have acquired thanks to going to my first PRS field trip last month. PRS, if you’re unaware, is the Paranormal Research Society, as seen on the show Paranormal State. I’m very happy to have this new family, as Ryan calls it, and I learned a lot about how PRS works and the people in it.
I chose the 12 Days of Christmas as my base song because it’s very challenging. I enjoy a challenge! I think my favorite line in the whole thing is the last one, because if you’ve ever worked with PRS, you are quickly schooled in Buell Standard Time. NKOTB people – think of Wahlberg Standard Time except no Earl there to drag him where he needs to go. Ryan is the guy on the left with his dog, Xander. I swiped this picture from his Facebook because, as my mother said, “It’s too f–king cute. I’m gonna go puke now.” Indeed.
So enjoy. It’s funnier if you actually belt it out.
12 Days of a PRS Christmas
On the twelfth day of Christmas, PRS gave to me twelve child mediums.
…………. eleven shadows shifting.
…………. ten “What the f–ks?”
…………. nine Eilfies sleuthing.
…………. eight priests-a-blessing.
…………. seven demons-a-grring.
…………. six Sergeys teching.
…………. five oh honeys!
…………. four sweater vests.
…………. three strange thumps.
…………. two EVPs.
…………. And Ryan Buell forty minutes late.

Love it! You are very creative =)
Ha, ha I love it and would love to see more of these!
